A Day with KOKORO: From Booking to Your Sitting Report

Wondering what to expect when you book with KOKORO for the first time?

We understand that leaving your child with a new sitter can bring up many questions. To give you peace of mind, here is a simple look at how everything flows—from your booking right through to receiving your final sitting report!

1. From Booking to Sitter Confirmation

Our process begins with a careful matching step to ensure the best fit for your family.

  • Step 1: Securing Your Sitter Once we receive your booking request, KOKORO finds a sitter who is the right match for your family. Your booking is confirmed as soon as your sitter is secured.

  • Step 2: Pre-Sitting Information After confirmation, we will ask you to sign our Terms of Service and complete a Child Information Form. This covers details such as:

    • Nap routines and sleep habits

    • Allergies or dietary restrictions

    • General habits, daily routines, and favorite activities

💡 Key Point: This allows your assigned sitter to truly understand your child's needs and prepare thoroughly before the day arrives.

2. On the Day: Warm Introductions & A Brief Chat

On the day of your booking, your sitter will arrive at your home, hotel, or designated location. Before starting the session, we take a few moments to sit down and chat with you.

Your sitter will check and confirm:

  • Your child's current mood and health for the day.

  • Your specific preferences and any house rules.

  • A quick safety check of the space and your emergency contact details.

We make sure everything is clearly understood so that you, your child, and the sitter feel completely comfortable and safe before the sitting begins.

3. During the Sitting: Care Centered Around Your Child & Family

At KOKORO, we believe in providing care that truly responds to your child and your family's needs, rather than just simply watching over them. We always ask ourselves, "What would the child love to do today?" while keeping your specific requests in mind. Our focus is to deliver warm, attentive care that stays close to both your child's interests and your family's expectations.

📸 Stay Connected with Photo Updates

For parents who would like them, we are happy to send photo updates during the session.

Seeing a quick glimpse of your child smiling and enjoying their time brings true peace of mind, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy your own time.

4. Receiving Your Sitting Report

Once the sitting concludes, you will receive a detailed Sitting Report covering your child’s day, including:

  • Meals & Snacks: Exactly how much they ate.

  • Rest Times: Nap durations.

  • Daily Care: Milk intake, diaper changes, or potty routines.

You will always have a crystal-clear picture of how your child spent their day.
